Happy New Year and a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last year, whether through donations, volunteering, or sharing our content on Facebook! This has been an incredible year for Jungle Aid, where we have continued to be able to support villages most at need by providing educational support, materials, and healthcare. Let’s have a round-up of December, before what will be another impactful year at Jungle Aid.

Pala-U Noi

On Saturday the 6th of December, the Jungle Aid team made their last visit to Pala U Noi with 14 volunteers. We stopped by the daycare center to drop off much-needed essentials, including a water cooler, printer cartridges, and plenty of fun activity supplies like hula hoops, scissors, and colored sand. Once we were at the village, our medical team also treated 35 patients, and our volunteers supported the village high school students in health promotion tasks with the younger children. The team also gave out over 200 Christmas shoe boxes, lovingly sponsored by Hua Hin International School. Such a great way to end our last trip of the year to Pala U Noi.

Pala-U

We had our last visit of the year to Pala U on the 13th of December this year. We treated 36 villagers for the flu, muscle pains and stomach pains, as well as other minor ailments. The Jungle Aid volunteers also held health promotion activities on basic hygiene such as lice, handwashing, and teeth brushing. At the end of our trip, we also gave out Christmas presents, blankets, cupcakes and milk. It was a lovely and joyous last trip of the year, which would not have been possible without our JA supporters and donors.

Donations and Sponsors

This December was also an incredible month in raising funds for Jungle Aid. Our volunteers supported the Take 5 Charity Golf Tournament at Pineapple Valley, organized by Sam Sheriff, his wife, Pooky, and his daughter, Sasha. This was an incredible event and is our biggest donation event of the year, where our volunteers supported with different games collecting donations at each hole, and a raffle. In total, over 800,000 Baht was raised, with 400,000 Baht donated to Jungle Aid, and the other 400,000 Baht donated to the Beaumont Foundation. A huge thank you to Sam, Pooky, Sasha, the Take 5 sponsors, Pineapple Valley Golf, Fore Management, and the golfers for such an incredible event and donation drive.

In addition to this, Jungle Aid also volunteered at the annual Hua Hin World Cup football event, where 27,360 Baht was donated. Thank you so much to the organisers for this donation and including us!

And last but not least, a huge shout out to Pukky for her 12 hour, 80 kilometer run, in November where she raised and donated over 100,000 Baht to Jungle Aid. Not only an incredible feat in endurance but also in supporting Jungle Aid’s work.
