Pala U Village

This month, Jungle Aid are grateful to have been able to support Khanom, a young boy who suffered an accident last year leaving him with a serious foot deformity. Due to your donations and the work of the JA volunteers, Khanom underwent a successful surgery this month and has now returned home with his aunty. Thank you to your donations and Hua Hin Hospital for making it happen.

Bang Saphan

15 of our Jungle Aid volunteers made the journey down to the schoolchildren’s shelter in Bang Saphan. Though we had mishaps with the JA truck’s brake line rupturing, we managed to get there, donated food, activities, clothes and treating 14 patients.

The highlight of the day was giving out towels, sheets, slippers, robes and rice donated by local hotels as part of the Hua Hin Laides ‘Rice is Nice’ event last month. A big thank you to Sarah Dean, the Hua Hin Ladies Group and the Dusit Thani, The Standard and The Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort for making this happen.

Pong Luek and Bangkhloi

This month’s trip to Pongluek and Bangkhloi was unforgettable. Though it was a long day heading into Kaeng Krachan National Park, the cool weather and rich nature made it an incredible experience.

Our clinicians saw over 50 patients, with many kids showing up. We also checked on several community projects, including the roof and kitchen improvements, and the donation of thousands of fingerlings by CPF for their village pond.

The day was full of good energy from the kids activities to the supplies we brought and the bumpy ride through the jungle. We were also able to give the villagers sheets, pillowcases, and towels donated by Dusit Thani, The Standard and The Intercontinental hotels in Hua Hin. With their amazing sewing skills, we are sure these items will be transformed into something useful for the community.
