September at Jungle Aid
Visit to Bang Saphan
The Jungle Aid team journeyed to Bang Saphan in September, treating 25 patients. thankfully, there were no serious conditions, just cases of the sniffles and flu. The 3 person team brought pork, chicken, eggs, canned fish, dried noodles, cooking oil and laundry detergent for the community. In addition, Jungle Aid delivered a concrete table with 2 benches and chairs for the community building, as well as a huge number of clothing and household items.
Other updates
Aside from this, our Social Food Project at Pala U Noi is still running. Jungle Aid provided some basic needs of rice and canned fish to over 30 families, including older and disabled members of the communities. In September, Jungle Aid also provided families with 5 kilograms of rice and 10 cans of fish per family each month.
In September, Pala U Noi village also suffered from a water system which broke down and meant families were unable to access clean water. Jungle Aid was able to support the village and supply a new pump, continuing to provide clean water for 120 families in the village!

Pala U Noi village visit
Earlier this month, 16 of our Jungle Aid volunteers headed to Pala U Noi! We were joined with an incredible medical team from the Spine Clinic, and with our two medical teams we managed to treat 63 patients! An incredible feat.
In addition to this, our volunteers carried out health promotion activities on hand-washing and brushing teeth, before ending with some games and art activities.
We also distributed monetary support for transportation costs to 23 of the high school students we are supporting. All in all, this was a great visit!
Other updates
A huge thank you to the students at Hua Hin International School for their recent Swap Shop fundraising initiative! The students raised over 7500 Baht, and all of the unsold items were then donated to Jungle Aid! It is so great to see the younger generation supporting the important work we do for remote communities around Hua Hin.
Thank you as well to Sarah Dean and the Hua Hin Ladies for another amazing donation drive on their donation drive for rice!
