This month has been packed with trips and many updates on the communities and programs we support!

Trips to Bang Saphan, Pong Luek, and Bang Khloi
Earlier in the month, we held our medical trip to Bang Saphan. The medical team here treated the villagers, adults and children, which needed medical support. The volunteers also distributed some household essentials, such as oil, rice, toothpaste, and toothbrushes, to the villagers and children.

After an unusually wet and rainy May, the medical teams were surrounded by lush greenery during their trip to Pongluek and Bangkhloi. The medical trip treated over 25 villagers between Pongluek and Bangkhloi, most notably and urgently, a man who had been bitted by a snake a few days earlier who they immediately arranged to be taken to the hospital for proper care. Aside from this, our volunteers also distributed the scholarship funds to students who don’t yet have bank accounts (as there are no ATMs and no stable phone signal in the village). All in all, it was an impactful day amidst some beautiful scenery in Kaeng Krachan.

Other updates

In early May, the Naresuan Border Patrol School in Pala U received a special delivery of 5,000 baby Tilapia fish, generously donated by the CPF. The school also received donations of two iMac desktops, a monitor, and arts and crafts kits for their computer and art classes. These will go a long way in supporting the education of the children in this village! In Pala U village, we are also continuing to support 13 university students, 1 college student, and 24 high school students. It is always so great to see these pupils coming to our visits and supporting our health promotion team in leading tasks!

A huge congratulations to 2 of our students who have recently completed vocational courses, and are going on to work at Isuzu and B-Quick!

We also want to give a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to our work at Jungle Aid, whether in supporting medical trips, donations, support at events and in the Hua Hin JA house, and more. Our work would not be possible without your support!
