Thanks to a wonderfully kind and generous, Kay Kittima, we now have brand new purpose built accommodation to enable us to house and sort donations as well as safely store medical supplies and equipment for trips. The accommodation has been designed to meet all our requirements, which is amazing. Kay has been a supporter and volunteer for Jungle Aid for many years and this generosity is hugely appreciated.
Huge thanks go to all the volunteers who helped with the big move including: Wayne, John, Annie, Paul, Stella and Andrew.
The new base is situated on the same soi, as the former JA house, just off Soi 114, opposite the Hua Na market car park. Here is the pin for the exact location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/9W8KzPL2TQMpVXnb6 Donations can be dropped off in the donation bins or larger items can be left and the lovely band of JA volunteers will sort everything.
Health Education
As well as providing basic foods, medical aid and major works, an important aspect of Jungle Aid’s work is supporting Health education, especially for the children. Every visit includes activities to promote healthy living. This has included, personal hygiene, hand washing and dental care. This month PalaU Noi village organised sport activities with local communities as part of the anti narcotics programme. Jungle Aid were keen to support this activity by donating 80 sets of sport uniforms. The event was fun for all but the important messages and information were also well received.
As well as treating many patients in the clinic, the recent visit to Pongluek and Bangkloi also focused on health education with the promotion of food hygiene.
What a great start to 2025. With more trips than ever planned and fund raising ideas being muted, it looks to be a busy year for the fantastic team of Hua Hin volunteers and supporters.
Thank you for making a difference to lives.
