The year of 2024 climaxed with a frenzy of fundraising events and visits to our villages.
There were smiles galore from the children of PalaU Noi as they received their Christmas gift boxes donated by the students of Hua Hin International School. The arrival of piglets and pig feed at the village also brought squeals of delight; the children are being equipped with skills to raise animals and enable the sustainable development Jungle Aid strives to gain.
There were a number of highly successful events. The Take Five Golf event, organised so impressively by Sam Sheriff, raised over 800,000thb! The Hua Hin World Football Tournament organised by Viking Club and the Monsoon Valley Jazz evening raised further funds. Huge thanks go to Sam, The Viking Club team and to Monsoon Valley for their support and commitment to changing lives for our village communities.
There were also visits to PalaU Noi and to our Thai village; it really was an incredibly busy month for Jungle Aid volunteers. Massive thanks go to all the volunteers and sponsors, not just for their huge support and hard work this month but throughout the year.
It was a great delight to be able to celebrate and reflect on the efforts and work of volunteers and sponsors at the annual Christmas party. Jungle Aid is run entirely by volunteers, who this year enabled 531 visits to villages to provide basic food supplies, much needed medical care, emergency aid in times of floods as well as projects that will enable long term sustainable change. The education scholarships and the farming projects at the Border Patrol school are just some examples.
Please do take a moment to reflect on all that you have achieved this year as part of this amazing Jungle Aid team. Warm and massive thanks go to you all.
Happy New Year to each an every one of our volunteers and sponsors.
