Jungle Aid volunteers and supporters seem to have boundless enthusiasm and determination to make a difference villagers in our remote communities. There has been frenetic activity this last month and December looks to be an even busier month.

November has seen Jungle Aid responding directly to the needs of villagers. For example, the unusually late rains have increased the dangers of dengue and malaria through prevalence of mosquitoes. So, 500 mosquito nets have been delivered to remote villages to reduce risks. Volunteers making deliveries to the remote villages of Pongluek and Bangkhlo faced particularly challenging terrain in order to complete their mission.

The medical teams and volunteers were greatly heartened to see the progress of a young man who lost his foot to a landmine during their visit to Bang Saphan’s School Children’s Shelter. Jungle Aid has been supporting the long process to gain essential medical aid and he will be receiving his permanent prosthesis very soon. The difference made by Jungle Aid’s donors and volunteers is inspirational.

Hua Hin Ladies have been immense supporters of Jungle Aid, particularly with their rice and food donations but this month their impact was even further magnified by the donation of sheets and towels, kindly donated by local hotels. The villagers in all the villages visited this month were delighted. You might well have heard the distant cheer from the Naresulan Pala U Border Patrol school. A huge thank you goes to the Hua Hin Ladies for your continued support.

There are many visits coming up in December as well as a multitude of events in support of Jungle Aid. Our facebook page gives details of the upcoming Flea Market, Hua Hin Football tournament, Monsoon Valley Jazz Night and the Take 5 Charity Golf Challenge: https://www.facebook.com/JungleAid/?locale=th_TH

Thank you to all our volunteers and donors. You are making a difference!
