The activities of Jungle Aid volunteers over the last few weeks has typified the breadth, depth and life changing effects for remote communities around Hua Hin area.

Visits to villages to provide basic food supplies and the crucial medical care are crucial to the villagers. Just this month 67 villagers received medical care on visits to the Thai village and Pala U. Essential food supplies, including 675kg of rice to Naresuan Palau Border Patrol School, were also well received. The rewards for volunteers and donors comes with the smiles and welcomes of all the villages. Volunteers were touched by Grandma Lek as she greeted volunteers with gifts of thanks for the support she has received during her cancer treatment. Jungle Aid makes a difference.

Volunteers are also delighted to see how the investment in education is changing the lives not just of individual students but on whole communities as the university and Jungle Aid scholarship students inspire the next generation. On the visits to villages this month it was the scholarship students who led fun and educational activities for the children. This is so heartening and gratifying to see for donors and volunteers.

The lead up to the New Year and Christmas holidays is a busy time for fundraising, visits to villages and for having fun. Please visit our the Jungle Aid facebook page if you are able to get involved with the events coming up and help Jungle Aid to make a difference. Volunteers are needed for: The Hua Hin World Cup on December 7th and 8th, The Take 5 Charity Golf Challenge 14th and 15th December and ‘Jazz at Monsoon Valley’ on December 21st. Tickets are also for the Jazz night from our facebook page.
