Visits to PalaU Community, Thai Village and to the Border Patrol School, this month, have put Jungle Aid on track to record the highest number of visits made in a year since JA’s inception. By the end of the year it is expected that the total visits will exceed thirty!

It is these regular visits by volunteers providing medical support, food supplies and health education that are making ‘the small changes that make a big difference’.

This month there has been a particular emphasis on health education for children. For example, donations have enabled over 700 toothbrushes to be provided, so far this year. Volunteers also take time to explain the importance of dental hygiene. This crucial aspect of JA work will not only see the reduction of tooth decay and pain but also brighter smiles all round.

Last month saw the amazing response of volunteers and donors to support the victims of the flash floods. The capacity of JA to be able to respond to urgent support needs as a result of emergencies is of huge importance. This is equalled by the importance of providing continual and consistent support by providing essential basic needs, medical support and health education.

Thanks go to to our generous donors and to our network of volunteers who give their time, skills and energy so freely. Together the wonderful community of Jungle Aid is making a difference.
