The uplifting story of the month was the wonderful response to an appeal for a wheelchair for a lovely 101 year old lady in Bang Saphan. A generous donor came forward immediately, the wheelchair was bought and within days volunteers made the 6 hour round trip to deliver the wheelchair and change a life. What a team! But the story does not stop there as a second wheelchair was donated and improved the life of a young man who is now disabled after a fall from a tree.
It was heartening that volunteers carrying out health checks and providing health education in Pala U Noi reported on the all round improvement of health in the village. This shows just how much the work of Jungle Aid volunteers is enabling sustained improvement in the quality of life.
