In August 2021, Jungle Aid was informed of a covid outbreak in PalaU Noi area. As a result, the population of 300 residents were tested and subject to a mandatory quarantine until the situation is brought under control. Pictured above is a field hospital that has been set up for individuals who have tested positive. All villagers have to quarantine and are unable to work or leave their homes.
As a result, the village leader has requested food to assist during this difficult time. Jungle Aid sent a small team with a big load of supplies including rice, tinned fish, cooking oil, noodles and milk this week to those affected.
The villagers were very appreciative of the assistance and were there to greet our volunteers and assist with a no contact food drop!
