Despite a rainy start to the day, the team set out bright and early on August 31, 2019 to visit Hua Yang village. The team traveled 45 minutes through elephant country to bring a medical clinic, donated items and a football coach to play with the children.

The medial clinic consisted of two nurses and two support people who took notes and assisted with handing out medications. A total of 40 patients were treated with illnesses such as cough, fever, head lice, skin irritations and infections.

Jungle Aid Nurse, Emma followed up with a little girl who suffered from extreme headaches. She had been treated by an Osteopath during a previous medical clinic and reported today that she is doing much better and not experiencing the painful symptoms any longer.

James from Black Mountain Football Club provided football training in the rain to the children who were interested. Thank you to James for providing the children with this opportunity.

As we do on each trip, Jungle Aid volunteers handed out the donated items such as clothing, shoes, blankets, toys and bedding. The villagers were so appreciative of what we were able to bring them.

Another amazing day! Thank you for your support, without you we could not do the work we do.
