February has continued to be a productive month at Jungle Aid, with two village medical trips and many updates!
Visits to Pala U Noi and Thai Village
On the 8th of February Jungle Aid volunteers supported a trip to Pala U Noi Village, where the medical team treated 34 patients and supplied
needed medical supplies. We also interviewed 15 new students who have requested educational support from Jungle Aid and 5 new vulnerable families for our Social Food project.
Jungle Aid also visited the Thai Village on the 15th of February, where the medical team treated 27 patients, and supplied groceries and toiletries. The volunteers also conducted health promotion activities on teeth brushing, hand washing and the treatment of head lice.
Both of these trips were successful and highlight the range of support Jungle Aid provides in these communities from medical treatment and educational support to supplying groceries and helping to develop sustainable food supplies.

Other updates
On top of this, it was so wonderful to hear from one of our students that we support, Pinkate Prawatklang, who has graduated with a Bachelors degree from Rangsit University. We have been supporting her with the cost of food, uniforms, transportation and school supplies since 2023, thanks to a private sponsor in Bangkok! We also want to send a big thank you to John & Lise Sandahl for donating THB 7000 to our programs. The donations we receive as well as the support from volunteers is essential to the work we do at Jungle Aid in providing opportunities to the young people in the communities we support and making a lasting impact!
Opportunities and the upcoming month
In March we have two upcoming visits to Bang Saphan and to Pongluek and Bangkhloi – more updates to follow on our Facebook page and in our next newsletter.
We are also actively looking for volunteers with medical backgrounds to support our medical trips – whether your background is in nursing, as a doctor, or in other medical services, please do reach out if you are interested in volunteering or know of anyone in Hua Hin who may be keen to volunteer with us.
